The 5 Alive Bass Club is fishing Lake Welsh on February 07, 2015. Tournament times are 6:45 am to 3:00 pm. We're launching from the public boat ramp. www.5alivebassclub.com for more details! We were excited to see 15 teams show up for the Martin Creek tournament! One team had electrical problems and couldn't fish so we had 14 entries. We've heard from several other teams that have said they couldn't make Martin Creek but they would be fishing soon so we're hoping for 20 or more boats at some of our 2015 tournaments. Come join us!

Lord willing, I am planning on being there. Got all the winter repairs and upgrades on the boat finished this past weekend.
On a side note, I do have an open backseat if anyone is interested.

Do you have to be a member of any club to fish this event ? Do you have to make reservations at the lake like you do for some other lakes ?

You have to be a member of 5Alive which you can do before any tournament at the boat ramp. Dues are $25 per year. No on the reservation.

Do you have to be a team or can I go solo? I was wondering same thing, I am wanting to joining Saturday and my partner that was going to fish with me had something come up so I will have open back seat if anyone is looking..

Absolutely you guys can fish solo. Annual dues are $25. All entry fees are per boat.
Tournament fee, $50
Big Bass, optional, $10
7lb pot, optional, $10

Looks like we're going to have another good turnout. We had 15 teams show up at Martin Creek and we're expecting around the same again this month, maybe more.
The weather sure isn't looking like a typical February tournament either...
