Anyone on here do any shore fishing in Ennis? I live in between Lake Clark and Old Lake (or the Duck Park as my kids call it), and I fish these lakes pretty regularly.

Has anyone had particularly good luck shore fishing these lakes lately - and any suggestions on spots to try on these lakes?? I had great luck on quantity in the Spring, and caught my PB out of Old Lake 2 weekends ago - almost 7.5 lbs - I was fishing the cove nearest the entry drive. I've hit the lilypads on Clark in the cove down from the boat ramp several times.. seems like a GREAT place to get some early morning hawgs, but no luck.

If not these 2 lakes, what about any others in Corsicana or Waxahachie? I appreciate any advice!!

(If you have a location suggestion, I'd also appreciate any tips on what baits you use there.)

Thanks!!

-Rich

Man don't give up your spots. These Dallas guys will rape your lakes. Look what they did to Amistad and Falcon. I don't say a thing

Are the Ennis Shores anything like the Jersey Shores?

At Clark. If you park just past the bridge on Country Club road. There is a old golf cart path that you can walk on and go to the north part of the lake. I would take the cart part into where the Country Club was. There is a bunch of old sunken boat docks up that way.

you can also fish the dam side of bardwell...little bit of walking but good. Also bring your waders out there....walk out a ways and you can rock some sandies there. Used to live in Waxahachie and fished there a lot. There are also some rock quarries just east of Waxahachie on 287 that are deep and hold bass. White spinners and tackle work well there.

Thanks Derek. I've seen those boat dock areas on the north side the one time I was out on a boat on Clark. I'll see if I can make it over there this morning.

Just got to the lake by boat ramp.. might try my luck here until sun up.

Thanks again.

I appreciate the info man. I've never fished Bardwell, except the marina, but I was there with my daughter's girl scouts so I was just helping them fish. Looked like a nice place to maybe find some bass, though.

Never been to the dam there, but I'll definitely try to make it over there. Where are those rock quarries east of Waxi? I can't recall at the moment if I've seen them before.

Thanks again for the tips!
