Fished with my Twin Brother Seapro Varner Friday from 1130 to 2ish. We found big sandies schooling early on when JV went to check out some birds crouching on the shore and thanks to SPT's better vision, I spotted sandies pushing shads against the shore about 30 yards beyond the birds (son and I had vision corrections done earlier in the day and it paid off ) That lasted for a fun 30 minutes throwing tail spinners and slabs with double hookups! Went scouting after that and found very scattered small ball of baits and scattered fish so JV wanted to show me the art of down rig for the peak summer. We did a little of that and caught 4 nice hibbies before JV had to go help his son moves.

My Pastor was out there with his new (used) boat so I jumped boat and joined him afterward to help a newbie boater, and we fished til 5pm. We only found too many yellows but it was fun showing him the ropes on boating, electronics, etc.

The weater was an awesome chilii 80 degrees for August 1st!!!
Water temp was 80 degrees. Winds was 5 to 12 mph NNE.

I should have come out earlier.
I did manage to catch 8 sandies, 2 drum & a yellow in a little over an hour before being called into work.

Does the mustache come with those goggles??
