Has anybody heard of this brand of rod? G-RODS. I was up at texoma early a.m. a few weeks ago at the dam riprap and a couple of guys had them. I asked where they bought them and they said that they were prototypes that they were testing. supposedly they were not on the market yet. I asked when it will be out and they said that it would be soon. Just keep a lookout and remember the name G-rods. One them named Carlos told me "This ain't your daddy's ugly stick. You are going to have to have one if you are a serious fisherman".I got to fish with it a little bit because they wanted me to tell them how it felt. I could cast a long distance with ease but it seemed too light for striper. They said it was constructed with the best fuji guides and that helps with distance casting and weight along with some other trade secrets in the construction which made it a lot lighter and a lot stronger.I actually cought a nice striper with it. It was so sensitive that I could feel every movement of that fish. When I hooked up that rod had plenty of back bone. It was by far the lightest rod that I ever cought a striper on. I could cast that G-ROD all day but the bite was over. I was very impressed. I want one. They said that they would be on the market soon. So has anybody seen them for sale yet? The letters of G-Rods form the shape of a fish?
