It's getting close to that time of year again, time for the 5th annual Cara Young Fish For Life tournament, benefitting Cook Children's Medical Center.
This year's event is scheduled for Sunday, October 12th, 2014 at Eagle Mountain Lake. Headquarters again this year will be Lake View Marina.
There will be live music with Heather Roberts, a free kids fishing tournament, raffle and silent auction. More information on the raffle and auction will be posted as more details are available. We are currently selling tickets for your chance to win a large Big Green Egg. Thank you Monte Coon for making this happen again this year!
Be sure to mark your calendars for this event and come out and enjoy the fun to help raise the much needed funds for Cook Children's. We had an awesome event last year, donating a total of $20,000.00. Let's make this happen this year and see if we can't beat last year's total!
Tournament flyers will be out as soon as possible. There will also be a fundraiser night at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant at 5250 Endicott Avenue. Will post time and date when it becomes available.

You know, the tournament will be here before we know it. We hope to have a great turn out this year and that the donations will surpass last year's. We are still working on a few things to be announced later but you mark your calendars for our fundraiser night to be held at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Haltom City. The date has been set for September 18, 2014, and will be from 3:00 until 10:00 pm. Come out and have a great meal and help support Cook Children's Medical Center.
We have some great items for our silent auction and raffle, including autographed tournament jerseys from Edwin Evers, Gary Klein, Jay Yelas, and Randy Howell, along with another fishing trip with Bill Wilcox of Honey Hole All Outdoors. We are still looking for donations / sponsors. Contact us if you know of anyone who would like to support this great cause.
