I want to know if anyone has one and what you like/ dislike. looking at the 220 VT bay raider with suzki. what the customer service was like (this is HUGE for me the last place really dropped the ball in every way possible). any issues with these suzuki (never had one) service issues? all the vids show it in skinny water but i fish a wide open fairly deep bay and with the SE winds up at 15-20mph the waves can be 2-3 feets easy and i want to know how it handles it. sometimes i would like to hit the gulf for a few miles (weather permitting). also what the price range is on them. was also checking out some transports, too.
i have owned boats since i was 16 and i finally pulled the trigger on my first NEW boat hoping it it would be my last boat and im very dissapointed. I currently own a 21 ft 2013 Majek Texas Slam with a 150 evinrude Etec...and I totally hate it. it literally makes me sick to my stomch all the money i put into it and the problems i have had with it. Motor: overheating issues, trim limit switch went out, just recently some kind of fuel pump issue... i havent looked at yet so im guessing on that one happend sat. on the boat side i just dont like the way the back end sits in the water. i like the low profile sides but every time i get passed by a boat or decent wave watercomes over the back of the boat. it is self bailing but still i dont care for it. even if i stop after a run water comes over the back of the boat. also i dont like the storage doors on it. keep nailing my toe on them because they stick up an inch or so.
any info will help, thanks in advance

Mosca is a very small company but it would be more about the dealer support on that one. Depending on the model they go for $50K+. Never heard a bad thing about them, if you are wanting something that takes the waves and gets some what skinny look at the JH Performance 240 or if you like cats a Shoalwater 23ft cat. As far as Suzuki never heard any issues with them, really a great motor.

How shallow do you want to run and draft. Majek isn't at the bottom of my Texas boat builders list but it's far from the top

thanks for the info i looked at the JH boats they seem a lot like the majek i have. and im not so sure about the cats (never ridden in one) but a friend of mine has a shoal water and i plan on seeing how that thing runs in open water with some good size waves. alway possible.
i would be in open bay with lots of chop until i got to the island shore so taking on waves is a must. as far as draft id say a foot or so.
I called Mosca today they said basically 43,000. plus ttl. thats for the basic 22 ft with a 175 suz and trailer which isnt that bad. i am going to set up a ride along and see how it goes.

The shoalwater was designed by Haynie and the Haynie cat is an improved shoalwater. Personally I have a Haynie Bigfoot on order but on my short list were Haynie, transport, SCB and Adam Stoner. The haynie bigfoot, stoner fury and transport xlr8 where close in price. The scb was about $10k out of my budget and Eric decided to get me where I needed to be price wise would sacrifice too much of what makes an scb, an scb. The fury debuted about a month after I put my deposit down on the haynie or i probably would have ended up with it. I'm at $53k OTD on my haynie with a 225 pro XS TM, 8' PP blade, trim tabs, Hyd steer, bobs jack plate, deluxe console, pro air, flush hatches, deluxe lean post with rocket launchers, 2 pedestal mounts, cushion on back rig hatch with back rest, burn bar plus more. Take a serious look and ride in them all

The JH hull design is more like the Mosca. I don't know where a Majek Texas Slam is anywhere near a JH. The Majek Texas Slam is more like an Explorer. What you want to look for is where the center console is to the center line of the boat and is it a planing hull or not. Some hulls plane others plow. Examples of plowing hulls, Gulf Coast, Explorer, El Pescador. Planing hulls would be a Haynie, Trans XLR8, JH 240, Majek Extreme. The spray exits the boat on the last 1/4-1/8 of the boat and it will handle much better and get you less wet. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TVoJp1hHHBgWatch how far back on the boat the spray exits
