Took the boat out today and ended up coming home with nothing to put in the fryer.
We tried fishing the deep humps with bomber slabs moved from hump to hump then moved to walnut Creek throwing everything in the boat at them. Worked up the creek and back. Nadda.

Yep we marked fish on the humps and then in a flash they were gone

We are heading to lake Arlington tomorrow my buddy said they were catching them by the damn

I was out there today as well, mostly to get familiar with the electronics. Did try to fish some but nothing brought in. Heading out tomorrow to a different lake.

got skunked out at the pool today as well. found some schools past the bridge near walnut creek but nothing would bite.

I think you all are trying to make me feel better. Although other anglers on the same lake getting skunked some how does make me feel better

i replied on here because reading that you got skunked made me feel a whole lot better. doesnt happen to me that often at joe pool, stick with it cause it will get better in may or so

althought i'm about to say screw it and just start driving to tawakoni and chasing the hybrids everyone seems to be catching out there.

If Arlington doesn't pan out tomorrow I might have to join you.

never been on arlington, always just fish joe pool since it's so close. heard it can be decent for largemouth.

It's loaded with channel cats and white bass, decent largemouth with some hybrids still swimming around ( they didn't stock it this year) power plant lake. My buddies got limits on sandies( 3 of them) in 3 hours

My lake of choice is Joe pool since it is 3 minutes from my house. Lake Arlington is only 10 minutes so sometimes it's worth the drive
