Well it finally got hot and so has the fishing at Lake Tawakoni! This week the fishing has been outstanding. I've actually seen schooling action early the past couple days. The big sandbass have shown baxk up in numbers. Hybrid and a few striper are mixing it up early with the sand bass, then backing out off fast drops in the deep water as the day goes along. Just about every slab ive thrown lately is catching fish. The Pikwi, Fiesta, Godfather, and Apocalypse in chartreuse or silver holo all have been putting fish in the boat. Later in the morning, sand bass are stacking up on ridges in twelve to fifteen feet of water. I've been using a Sss Slab from www.moestackleshop.com with Moes Sandy Candy Jigs about a foot over them. Catching many doubles and a lot of fish on just the Sandy Candy jig. I've even put them in front of a pet spoon when I troll and caught doubles hellpetting! Striper and hybrid have been really stacking up on the fast drop offs midmorning. Sassies and spoons are putting some in the boat. Theres also a lot of Striper and Hybrid suspended out in 35+ feet of water near the humps. I have caught some on Kahunas, but they are mostly just wanting live bait. Today I dodnt know how many striper and hybrid we caught on our last stop before heading in, but they just wouldnt hit an artificial. When that water warms up just a bit more, it will be full swing Kahuna Spoon Season! Im stoked!

I still have a couple openings this month and Im looking for a couple guys to fill the party boats on August 22 and 29th. $75 a guy! I havent started booking any for September yet, but every Tuesday and Thursday we will be running them.

Woops, forgot the carp and drum report. Catching them mostly in my cast net haven't had that problem in months now, but I guess they are back. I've had one or two the last several days in a row. And one big mama black bass, I shoulda got a picture of her, maybe one of my customers will send it to me, lol. Those things can really mess up a net!

Ruben, how bout the 26th? I got that Monday open. Anybody else want to go? We clobbered the striper today. It was mostly a catch and release trip, but we kept a few that were deep hooked and some sandies. The fishing is outstanding. It's so good, we decided to use cut bait and catch some catfish.......but we caught about a dozen keeper hybrid on it. Seriously....on cut bait!

I will be in Mexico that week.. I am pretty sure Joy won't let me cancel that vacation.
