I am heading down to rock port tomorrow we have a place near Shell Road, havent been able to get out all summer, does anyone have any fishing reports for around this area, we normally do a lot of wade fishing around these parts! I am also a new comer to this forum! I have seen some really great stuff here! Normally this time of year we bring in some great flounder off Live shrimp and finger mullet as well as some smaller reds and good specs, I hear Croaker have been working around the area really well??? any thoughts or info are welcome! Thanks

If you put in at cove harbor boat ramp and go just past the fish cleaning station there is a cut to the left that will get you on some flats and out to the channel, my boys have caught reds out of yaks there before. Down past cove harbor about a mile there is a rv park on the left and you can put in there and have access to the channel and the flats we have been catching trout on pin fish that we are cast netting and lots of mangrove on shrimp. The ski basin early in the morning also

Sounds good Searay, thanks for your input, def give it a shot, alot of the times we have really good luck infront of the house and fishing all the docks/piers. I am def going to head out there one morning, is there certain times of the day better than others, last year we were catching pretty much all day long?

Sounds about right, how is the rain down there for the weekend? I have been watching the weather has then been effecting the fishing at all? Hopefully this weekend the weather will hold up a bit!

You say shell road, are you referring to shell ridge by the bass bros docks?

Just left goose island and didn't really catch anything. I saw some monster drum that were pulled in the night before we got there but everybody else I talked to said they had pretty bad luck as well. I hope you did better than us.
