I started out Tuesday by loading up the truck and east bound! We get to our camp site and unload and set up camp. I take the two man out and jump some stumps, with my son!

Well, we fish all the spots I think might be holding fish, nothing there! Fished two to three hours with not even a bite! Later I go out same results! Next morning I head out no fish! On the 4th I took a brake, and the kids had fun later that night we went to a show was an awesome show on the last day we got a cool chance to set this they came right into our camp site we had a blast. Its was so nice to just spend time with the family. We went to purtis creek state park! In the long run the time with my kids and family was better than catching fish.

To me, Purtis Creek is one of the best kept secrets in Tx. Beautiful little lake and very well maintained by the state. It is a tough crappie lake that I've never had much success on but, love going there on occasion regardless. Just looking at it you'd think it would be crappie heaven! I don't camp out anymore but, it would be at the top of my list if I did.
Glad you enjoyed it.
