You can stand with much worries of turning over unless you get stupid. It's the most staple platform you will find. As long as your not doing much creek/river fishing where it's shallow and dragging is involved they will be fine.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

+1
If you plan on fishing a lot of big water the PA14 is the way to go. Lots of room, super stable, and comfortable. I would suggest spending the extra $ on the 2013 bc of the seat that has infinite settings to adjust to your comfort. I would also suggest buying a trailer for easy launch off boat ramp power boat style..
I am in Garland so if you are ever out near me hollar at me and we can test her out on Hubbard.
Another great suggestion would be to contact Mike over at Mariner Sails in Dallas to set up a free demo on a Thursday evening.
Good luck and hope to see you out on the water soon!!

I found a sweet deal on a catamaran trailer but most Jet ski,/Jon boat/utility trailers will do the job.I'll put pics up later of my setup. Me and a buddy of mine were out today in some crazy winds and we did just fine. I was just shy of a limit... There were only a half dozen boats in the area that we launched. It was a ghost town. I'll try to put some pics and maybe a video of the elements that the PA14 handled without any issue...

You will have plenty of room to stretch out and the chair allows you to get super comfortable. I have been on the water reclined almost to a point of laying down, boy I was comfy
