We are having our 7th Annual Kids Tournament on Joe Pool on June 1 at Lynn Creek Park. Ages 18 and under. No charge to get into the park and no charge for entry fee. Please register in person either Friday night or Saturday morning. Times are 7:00am to 2:00 pm and then the awards ceremony at 2:30.

We will be accepting Kids Tournament entries up until 9:00 am on Saturday June 1. The scales will open 15 minutes before the top of each hour up until 2:00 pm and you only bring in 1 fish per hour. The awards ceremony will start at 2:15. We will only use your largest legal sized largemouth bass, sand bass, or crappie for standings. You are allowed to troll, use live bait so long as the parent in the boat is not fishing the Big Bass Bonanza. You can also fish off of the bank. Make sure you keep your fish alive as they will all be released back into the lake.

June 1 is also Texas no fishing licence required day. Make sure your kids gets registered either tonight or in the morning.

Just signed my son up. He is so excited to fish this tournament again. Much appreciation for putting on this tournament every year.

Great turnout today with 42 kids entered. About 17 or so weighed in legal sized fish. The winner was an 8 year old boy Addison Anderson fishing with his dad and grandpa. His dad and grandpa were fishing the Big Bass Bonanza and could hardly catch a good keeper. Addison was using the reel that he won last year at this event with the same 8# line that originally came on the reel and was using a 4" Zoom lizard. His bass measured 23.5 inches and weighed 7.28 lbs. This was the first over the slot ever weighed in our Kids Tournament. 2nd place was 1.03 lbs by Matt Arnold using a crank-bait.
Special thanks to the Optimist Club of Grand Prairie for everything they did to help us and to the sponsors this year for coming up with enough door prizes that all 42 kids walked away with something.
