I am about ready to install my foot control recess tray. I have my template taped down about where I think it goes. Will some of you tell me how far it is from your seat pole to the back of the recess tray? About 14" seems comfortable to me but I wanted to see what others think.

Thanks hopalong. I could move my tray forward about another 2 inches or of course back as far as needed. I was just trying to get an average. I have long legs and could move it but that would put me, if I stood (I normally sit/lean), standing to far forward. I have never used a recess tray so I'm not 100% confident in placement.

You will never regret the recessed tray. It relieves back pain and helps keep your balance while you are standing.

I have never used a recess tray so I'm not 100% confident in placement. what I did was set it on the deck, got in my normal fishing position (have to use a butt seat) and figured where I wanted it for maximum comfort. do this and you will like it.
