Does anyone still use this olde? or inline spinners? I'm an old fisherman just getting back into the sport.

inline spinners are good. However the line twist, even with a swivel drives me nuts, so I like small crappie sized spinner baits. Serve about the same purpose.

I have jitterbugs, but never fish them honestley. never have.

I have both and while I don't use them, I would assume that the designs should still produce fish. I was actually just talking about the jitterbug yesterday. May have to give them a try shortly. If you try them out, report back and let everyone know.

I used them as a kid a long time ago and they did great for bass and crappie.I fished them in a farmers pond.I am just deciding to get back into fishing after a long absence.

I have not used one of them in years!
Why not I bet the fish of today don't see them much and I would think at sunrise on LL the hybrids or sand bass would hit them.

I haven't tried topwaters in a while, but aside from bettle spins, inlines such as Mepps and Panther Martin are nearly all I use for bass and sunfish. I don't use a swivel and really don't have much line-twist issues either.

I don't use in-line spinners as much as I probably should even though they are supposed to be pretty good in the clear waters I normally fish. I'm a big proponent of small Jitterbugs. They are a great bait in the right situation. In my experience, they are not an all day topwater bait like some others can be. They don't seem to produce as well as some others on highly pressured lakes and ponds, but are a killer on rivers, creeks, streams and any moving water. I like the smaller models best even when there is a chop on the water. I've caught bass, bream, sandies, channel cats and others on Jitterbugs. Frog, black and yellow seem to be the best colors for me.
