First started management for some ranchers 15 years ago when I was 17 they have been impressed with the results. One got a new place with a 20 acre lake that had never been fished the fish were stunted at about 2.5 pounds never thought I would get all the little suckers out o there but we are finally seeing some dd fish. The floridas grow very quick when the have ample food. We remove most fish under three pounds now I am waiting till after the spawn right now to leave plenty of fry to grow into fish food lol. Did keep several bucks last two weeks that were already shallow preparing beds did pretty good only fileted one with eggs.

We have very few small fish they grow quick most are dinner for big fish before 6-8 inches. Never know what you are going to hit when you set the hook hit one last week. Poor thing went for a NASA style launch of a ride flying to the other side of the boat. I would have pulled it out but after the ride I gave it a pass and a laugh.
