There is some confusion with registration being closed. Mr. Paul Alpers, owner of CrappieMasters, requested I publish the change. The original post is edited to reflect this. But here it is in short.
Late registration fees are officially waived regardless of what is posted on social media or CrappieMasters website. You can sign up at Friday's March 8, 2013 seminar for entry and membership fees.
If you have any questions call the contact information on the original post. It is listed at the bottom.

I already paid the late fees online... So what happens there?? I also have a question on launching... Do you have to launch at Lake Fork Marina, or do you just have to be in line for the weigh in there by 3???

Jerry, good question.
I contacted Suzette Valentine. Only online entries have been charged a late fee. For those registered online and charged a late fee, the late fee will be refunded. Send an email to Suzette at the email address in the above post. For those who called in to registered, they have not been charged a late fee.
If entering the tournament late, the best way is to call Suzette - and no late charge will be applied. If you register online, it automatically assigns the late fee. So to avoid jumping thru loops, call Suzette is my advice.
As for launching, you may launch anywhere. According to their website, the weigh-in line closes at 3:30pm not 3pm.
Everyone should read CrappieMasters rules as many are different than CAT's.
Glad you're in - good luck! Jimmy

Jimmy, thanks for posting this. I talked to Paul Alpers last night and he confirmed that there would be no late registration fees.

Rule 51 states that fish must be brought to the weigh-in line in a cooler. No weigh bags allowed. Why is this a rule and when did it start? As far as I know, we don't have that rule for C.A.T. tournaments. I know Wes and Jay Don usually do it that way, but I've never known why. I checked the website and can't find a reason. Does it need to be aerated? Is there a size requirement?

It helps keep them alive being with long lines the water doesnt get to hot and kill the fish. Crappiemasters takes every precation the can to release as many live healthy fish as they can.

I guess that makes a little sense if it was July.

Why is this a rule and when did it start? I know Wes and Jay Don usually do it that way, but I've never known why. I'm not positive on the why but most likely the reasons James mentions and Crappie Masters releases the fish after the tourney. The when is that it started this year. They announced this at last years classic that it would be a new rule for this year so I'm glad you reminded me. Duck Jerky and I do it that way because it is easier to roll our cooler then to tote that weigh-in bag. You can also set the cooler and leave it and you have to hold the weigh-in bag the whole time.

Probably. I tend to ocd on that kind of stuff. Guess I need to grease the sprockets if you can hear it all the way in Denton county.
