Looking forward to this one.

Also, if anyone is looking to have a back seat filled, Miguel is looking for a ride. I heard he can catch fish from a pot hole. PM me for his contact info.

If anyone is looking for a back seater for this tournament I am interested. I've fished Dunlap out of my little boat but would be interested in going with someone else so we can share knowledge. I'll cover entry for my share of expenses. Let me know soon otherwise I'm probably headed to Canyon or Bastrop... txt five one two, 560, 9005 or emal jonathan.magee at symbol gmail.com

We tore em up today,I am prefishing tomorrow. Dad and I fished the slack hole(behind the Miller house) by the schuman ramp and did real good. Also the stump field that runs a couple hundred yards to the dam produced real, real well.

Got out on the water about noon today and wanted to try a couple different options. Fished jigging spoons in the standing timber as well as cranks. Got good results after "bumping" the timber with the spoons and cranks. Also got a few takers on C-rigs in the last dog legs of the river. Wind was stiff today so I didnt get to dead stick my flukes under the docks. Hope that helps some of you who havent fished Dunlap. If all else fails grab a black and blue jig with pork(preferred) or zoom chunk trailer under the docks.

Bennet Cowan and Simon Cobb weigh in a 17lb 11oz sack to win the Lunker Hunters Team Trail tournament on Lake Dunlap. With a 7lb 4 oz kicker, the team also claimed big bass honors.. Simon and Bennett caught their fish on custom made swimbaits and had 10lbs in the boat before the sun came up.

2nd place went to the team of Chad McNeil and Shawn Tamez with 3 fish for 9lbs, and also cashed in on second place big bass with a nice 5lb 3 oz fish. They also reported to have caught their fish early and just couldn't find a bite after the front blew through and the wind changed direction early this morning.

Collecting the last check was the team of Atkins and Gibson for their 3rd place finish.

Congrats to all the winners, and a big congrats and thank you to Simon Cobb and Bennett Cowan for reminding us all that Dunlap has good fish in it.
Some crazy stories were shared at the weigh in that included a bank fisherman catching a pot bellied 7 pounder in a cast net, and pods of 5lb bass cruising the shallows. Is it getting close?
