Forney Bass Club is happy to release our schedule for the upcoming 2013 season. We offer a welcoming atmosphere for kids, new members, and are a club focused on sportsmanship, conservation, comraderie, and friendly (albeit highly competitive) competition. To put it simply, we have a lot of fun! And would like to invite interested anglers to join.

With our regular season running from February through September. We hold a 2-day tournament/cookout in April (which counts as 2 individual points tournaments), another 2-day tournament/cookout in May (which counts as 1 tournament), and the 2-day Paul Lusk Memorial Classic in October for qualified teams and individuals.* In December we hold our annual dinner/awards banquet to recognize achievements, and fellowship with fellow anglers in the club.

Our membership fee is $35.00 per individual, $70.00 per team, and $55.00 for a family membership consisting of the primary member, spouse and children / step-children under the age of 21. There are more specifics listed in the by-laws which we highly encourage members and prospective members to be very familiar with.* Tournament fees are $60 which pays 2 places for big bass. For an additional $5.00 you can join the 7 pound pot which keeps growing until a 7+ lb. bass is caught and weighed alive.

For the 2012 season, membership reached 55 teams with our highest tournament attendance of the season at 45 teams in May at Lake Tawakoni, and our lowest attendance at 27 teams in September at Richland Chambers. With a diverse group of men and women in the club with varying skill levels, over 34 teams placed in the money at least once in 2012. Overall, we had a tremendous year.

We fish on the 3rd Saturday of the month, meeting at First Baptist Church of Forney on the Tuesday prior the 3rd Saturday at 7:00pm in the front of the church. All meetings are open to members or prospective members. Our first meeting is on January 15th 2013 at which a lot of information will be disseminated, and prospective members can join. Members receive additional points by having at least one team member present.

Our website is www.forneybassclub.com . There you can view the schedule, Officer contact information, by-laws (which have changed for 2013, but not yet drafted and posted), results, lake levels, and as a member, you may even join our private forum for up to date information and discussions.

To ensure the integrity and credibility of our club, we strictly adhere to our by-laws, and enforce them judiciously without hesitation.

* - Although at the time of this article, our new rule changes have not been published, both members and prospective members are encouraged to read and become familiar with the FBC By-Laws on our website. Remember to check back often for updates to our by-laws!
