Aint no good fish on golf courses! ![sarcastic sarcastic](/forums/images/graemlins/default/Loser1.gif) Stonebridge has some monsters in their ponds. I witnessed 1 over 12 caught and seen a pic of another. I have heard stories about many more.

I used to be one of the golf course superintendents at Stonebridge CC in McKinney. Caught lots of big bass in the lakes. Also ran lots of guys off the lakes (don't be a hater....it was my job), which are closed to the public. Approached a guy once to run him off and saw he had on a Texas A&M hat. That was his free ticket to fish. I went back to my office and grabbed a rod to join him. We both landed a fish close to DD (no scales) and had a blast. Also used to turn sprinklers on with remote when I saw guys fishing where they weren't supposed to fish. They always had this "how did that come on" look. Fun times.....

Was just wondering if anyone knows golf courses in the Houston area that are good spots for largemouth?? Thanks for the help!! Bear Creek was a good spot for me. Big pond with the pump house had some monsters in it. Westwood CC was my go to spot. Lived right behind it and would sneak over there at night and wear them out. Some big bass there. There are three lakes that are lined together along the fence line. They have some good fish in them.

Kingwood country club has 4 or 5 courses that are full of little ponds. I fished them all of the time back in the 80's. If you can get out there you will tear them up. I also remember fishing a few ponds in April Sound on Conroe.

Kingwood CC ponds all dryed up last year and many are still very low. They were great little holes back in the day.

Yeah the hardest part about fishing golf courses is getting permission. In florida they pull some huge bass out of golf courses.
