This Sunday Morning Lunker Hunters hosts our weekly open team tournament on Lake Dunlap 7:00am to 12:30PM.


Registration is from 6:30am to 7:00am at the launch under I35.
Shotgun start at 7:00am or safe light whichever comes first.
Weigh-in at 12:30pm.
5 fish stringer.
Jackpot tournament will pay first place and big fish.
$30.00 per team entry fee
$18.00 per entry to heavy stringer
$9.00 per entry to big bass
$3.00 per entry to Lunker Hunters

What were the weights from last week?

We only had 2 boats last week so we fished for bragging rights.

Should be a good turnout. Lots of big fish being caught on Dunlap. Come on out and fish with us!!

Two 9+ pounders caught yesterday!!

wet start, but how did it finish?

6 teams (I think) showed up to brave the elements. Fishing was slow, for keeper sized fish. Far cry from how it had been fishing.

1st went to Phillip Thompson and Thomas Howe with the only limit of the tourney weighing a little over 9lbs.

Big Bass was caught by yours truly that weighed a whopping 2.8lbs, but good enough to win back entry fee, cover expenses, and buy lunch. Just goes to show ya, everyone has a chance to win a little money as it only takes lucking into 1 bite.

A couple teams reported that the bite was good just before the rain started. It was a good time and nice exchange of fish stories, must have go to Dunlap baits, and some very informative tips after the tourney. It's a good way to meet all those bass fisherman you see on the water, and/or find someone to fish with on the lake.
