FWNC is about 1 mile from my front door as the crow flies... Been there many times to photograph big deer, but never paddled it yet.

Thanks guys. I will definitely be heading back out there soon. TexasSteve, I don't think they allow camping. Here is the website: http://www.fwnaturecenter.org/They do charge $5 per person to get in, but that's cheaper than many boat ramps.
