From the bank or a boat? That milfoil can be a pain .

It would be best to tell me were all this great grass is and I'll let you know ![smile smile](/forums/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif) . Frog frogs frogs and if you can get to the outside edge try a buzz bait or jerk bait( tiki stick or fluke). A ten in weight less power worm can be deadly across the top. A baby a minus is good along the edges as well hope this helps.

Then I'd suggest surface lures like floating frogs over and around the edges where the milfoil is matted on the surface. And the old spoon mentioned above. Also a floating worm or lizard. I would have said punch it if you were in a boat. Use a very stiff rod and 65 lb braid with a high-speed reel so you can get control of the fish quickly.

One other thing. How big is the pond and does someone you know own it? If so, they need to check into managing that milfoil. It can literally choke out a 100 acre lake. 20% coverage would be ideal in a pond. More than that will eventually rob the pond of essential nutrients which in turn means less biomass (fish and what they eat) and a less than healthy fishery.
