I'm not the most familiar with saltwater fishing but I know enough to get me started.... Scan someone help on where to fish what to fish with and what will give me the best luck... Staying in a hotel kind of by the USS Lexington butcan drive but hopefully not like an hour someone please help kinda wa t to catch a shark but will catch anything that bites from catfish to flounder please help this ol pond catfisher out helpsign

Howdy minnow killah. There are plenty of places very close to where you are staying that offer some good fishing. There is Indian Point Pier right down the road from you. If you just head towards portland, you will see it just to your right about halfway down the causeway. It's the only pier there, so you can't miss it. I think they charge to get on, but it shouldn't cost more than a couple of bucks. On your way back from portland, you will see a lot of people parked on the side of the causeway on the right fishing in a spot called porno flats, yes that's the name of that area, lol. From what I hear that place has become a good fishing spot in the past few years. You should just be able to park right up to the shore and cast in.

As far as bait is concerned, dead shrimp will pretty much work for anything. You get it fresh at the t-heads downtown where all the shrimp boats are. If you can find a bait shop on north beach, they should have it too.
