The WTCT will be holding its second tournament of the year on June 9th on lake O.H. Ivie near San Angelo Texas. Entry fee is 100$ per team Big Fish pot is included into the fee

O.H. Ivie doesn't have a good reputation for large catfish but don't let its reputation fool you. This lake has a very large population of large flatheads and a decent population of bluecats as well as numerous channel cats to be caught.

Tournament hours are from 7pm Saturday June 9th till 7am Sunday June 10th. We will not have a host hotel at this tournament due to this being a night tournament. Signups will be from 5pm till 7pm at the Kennedy ramp. There is a 3 fish limit on this tournament. All state and local laws must be followed. We will have cash and prizes to be given away dependant upon number of entrants.

It's about 200 miles, little bit of a drive but I guarantee you when your fishing and look up and see all the stars you'll be glad you got away from the metromess! Ivie is very low guys but its still very fishable there are parts that still have 50 foot of water. We wanted to fish this lake before it does get to low that its unfishable. There are also a lot of nice fish, i know of a 65lb blue that was caught two weeks ago (Cods can vouch for that)....Brandon and I have put several 100lb stringers together on 3 fish!

Why not Kenedy ramp, No marina to eat breakfast at when I win at Pagit! I am certainly gona be glad to relieve you guys of some of that hard earned folding money at this one! The lake is 40' low, but catfishing has been great this year, should be near mid spawn on the yellow cats. Some impressive fish are expected. Record for lake is 78# on blue and I think in 70s on Yellows, 15#+ Channels arent uncommon! here.
Looking forward to this tourney. The lake is super on structure, simular to Amiestad in deep rock clifs and lots of trees. Not a Core lake and all trees were left standing. lake was built in early 90s, so structure is standing good.
Navigation is really easier with the low levels with a good GPS and navionics, Just follow the river and creek channels, trees are visible on the sides of the rivers and creeks.
Should be a great tournament.

Lots of bass (trash Fish)tournaments held on Ivie on weekends. So make reservations early.

Smoky is wrong on depth, Ivie still has 70' water left! Thier was a 65# blue caught two weeks back. Same group caught over 700# of catfish on the one week stay, using trotlines, Most fish were Yellowcats, I have a friend that caught 2 40# yellows and a 44# on one run on one line. Spawn should still be in Mid stages on yellows. the time on this tourney is RIGHT.

Thinking hard about this one. It is a drive from SA for a lake I have never fished, but what the hell, we may give it a run.

It's only 3 hrs from San Antonio John I gotta drive 3 hrs to any tournament I fish except this one! I wish fuel prices werent so hi, would help everyone out!

I had a friend (Since Passed) who fished Choke a lot, He said the lakes were very simular.

The entry is $100 per team, you are allowed 3 anglers per team. We did 3 people per team to help split up costs, with the price of fuel and everything else it gets tough!
