Hey guys thanks for yals time i was hoping for some input on a fishing rod and reel doesn't necessarily have to be a combo but i want a rod and reel it needs to be between 100-175$ for the total. also it needs to be a bait caster cause all ive been using is a spin cast. i fish golf courses, local ponds, some other small lakes, occasionally on a boat. we use worms, jigs, spinners, divers, and swim-bates. We catch bass between 1-12pounds thanks for yals time input is appreciated

Bass pro is your friend. Go, and check out they're selections. For your price range they're extreme line is a good start. Basic m/h rod in 7ft is best all around.

A BPS pro qualifier and a 6'6" bionic blade or extreme in a MH is a great combo imo. It would allow you the versatility to fish all of the techniques you mentioned as well as some light jig and frog fishing. The pro qualifiers are/were on sale for $79. The rods are in the same price range. That would leave you some change for a good quality flourocarbon.

I only catch bass between 1 and 9 pounds I can't help on those 10 to 12.

I would buy a Laguna reel at Southwest for 50 bucks and put that Cumara they have on the half price bin for 80 bucks with it.

I would go buy a Revo S at BP at $130 and after the $30 rebate it should come out at around $100 bucks... Or they sell brand new Curado's on ebay for $129 and they also have a $30 rebate going on now too.... Then I would take whatever you have left and buy the nicest rod you can, Academy sells the All Star rods for around $65 so that would put you at $169 smile
