I'm using a spin cast reel/rod w/ 8LB test. What setups would you use as lure wise?

Some type of finesse fishing would work out pretty good.

I would like to use one myself for skipping. Did that when I was MUCH younger and could put the bait anywhere I wanted to. Today would probably get laughed out of the boat. Can't seem to skip with baitcasters that well. But I am seriously thinking about using a spin/cast it again anyway. I could laugh all the way to the tournament scales with the fish.

It would work well for a weightless senko. They tend to do well pond fishing.

Learn the "bow and arrow" technique with spinning gear. It works perfectly and won't get you laughed at.

That's the technique I used with the spin/cast. Don't use spinning too much anymore either but will give it a try. Thanks for the idea onthebank.

OT: Drop shot, shaky head and weightless senkos as stated above are good ways to use the spin/cast. Grubs and inline spinners would work too. I'm sure there are many other ideas out there.
