Had a great day at Fayette on Friday! Didn't know how it would be after all the rain we had Wednesday and Thursday but it proved to be pretty successful. Started out the morning throwing a black and blue buzz bait which worked well considering i caught a nice 2 1/2 lb bass on my first cast. I felt like it was going to be a good day on the water. After fishing the buzz bait i went straight to the senko. Between the 2 of us we caught 17 on the day but ended early around 1230. Just before 1230 i casted along the reeds, had a bite, set the hook and got broken off. So i retied, threw to the same spot and caught the biggest bass of my life! It weighed in at a little over 7 lbs. This is by far the best day on Fayette I have ever had!

Nice fish but.....You should have stayed for the evening bite - I caught about 10 from the time I got there around 10:00 until around 5:00 but then I got into some stacked up on the bottom in about 10 feet of water with a crank bait and in 2 hours caught over 30 in the 2-1/2 to 4 pound range - I had to retie the crankbait three times (it was the only one I had in that flavor) and they finally broke one of the hooks off the back treble - around 7:00 the bite started to slow down and I was already late heading home so I gave up my spot to a couple of guys in a Z7 Nitro - Took a few pics myself.... Beegfoot1 - Sounds like you really had a great day! Wish I could've stayed but it wasn't my boat and had to get back to town. I don't have a boat, so I can only get out when my friend can take me. Hoping to find a decent used one soon so I can go out more often. I love Fayette but just cant make it out much! _

We also went to fayette friday and had a blast. We got there around 8:30 and stayed till about 6. We caught somewhere around 50 of them throughout the day mainly on spinnerbaits and tx rig creatures. Caught a couple of nice ones
