Food too! One of our Tournament sponsors, No Frills Grill of Arlington et al, is catering the event. Tournament registration includes the post-weighin meal on Saturday afternoon at no additional cost. NFG will also be providing a meal package on Friday evening during registration with pork, potatoes, and beans for $10 and a Sunday afternoon sandwich for around $5. A weekend of great food from NFG is just one more reason to check out the historic Texas State Bass Tournament.

You have until this Friday afternon to get your early entry postmarked. After that, the price goes up a bit, but you can still register in person on Friday the 27th at Cassels-Boykin. See www.texasstatebass.com for rules, registration form, and other information.

Is this a "bragging rights" tournament or is there a payout schedule.

The State Tournament has always been for bragging rights. Plaques are awarded to the State Champion and other top finishers in each Division. Because it is not a money tournament and it's not for profit, the entry fees are very reasonable and each angler essentially gets their entry fee back with the generously stocked Strike King tackle pack, tournament cap, and Saturday afternoon meal. All other funds collected are invested in the awards, weigh-in trailer, and early entry drawings. It is a great outing. Join us if you can.
