I made some umbrella rigs tonight. They turned out good. I made them out of Tin so they are lighter. I put split rings on them instead of swivels so they are stronger. I don't think it will mess up the action of the bait much if so I will change them. I can throw them with more confidence now. The head doesnt look like a fish, but I dont think it matters either. I poured 31 of them in about an hour with my sons help. Had to hold the wires while he pulled the melting pot handle. I have 5/0 hooks on a 1/8 ounce jig head so the baits dont get tangled. The rig weighs 1.2 oz without baits. I think I will try them on Texoma instead of Lewisville after seeing the last three days results. Been killing the fish lately. I used a bell sinker mold. Not too bad.

It is a .40 straight wire from Barlows. You can order 500 of them for about $30. http://www.barlowstackle.com/Straight-Wire-Shafts-P906.aspx. I used a bell sinker mold for the head. They should work great. Cost about $.50 to make without the hooks.
