Cath the Carp, tournament to be held on March 24, at
Purtis Creek State Park. Cash Prizes and more for the most
carp caught. Lots of big carp in the lake. NO FISHING
LISCENSE REQUIRED. Everyone welcome. Overnight tournament.
Location is 3 miles north of Eustace, Tx. on Hwy. 316.
This is for removal of Grass Carp.

Yes this is the gRasser removal tournament that is put on by TPWD and the friends of Purtis Creek.

They need to clarify that it is a white amur (aka grass carp) removal and not common carp

OK, now I am confused. What tournament are you talking about. If it is the grasser(white amur) removal tourney, thats one that we had heard about. If it is a catch and kill all carp tourney thats a completely different story.

The Grass Carp Tournament scheduled for March 24

changed to 1 day event. Sorry for the confusion.

Guarantee this is going to be a slaughter of commons too. If those advertising it don't know the difference how are they going to enforce it? I think its a great cause, too many grassers is a bad thing but its a "White Amur" tournament not a carp tournament.
