Does anybody know if or when the spillway will be flowing on the lake? I tried calling the CoE and they had no information on it.

According to the latest info posted on Lake Lewisvills levels, that lake is still 8ft away from the spillway flowing. It's going to take a few more rains to get there.

Thanks...I wasn't sure how they scheduled it, but I'm glad to hear it won't be flowing for a while.

I think that we're talking about 2 different things. Originally you asked about the "spillway". That's not something that is scheduled. That is the overflow point of the lake. Talking about the release of water from the lake, I don't know how they schedule that.

I don't know it this will help you, but you can get real-time data of the amount of water being released from Lake Lewisville into the Elm Fork of the Trinity River at:

http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?08053000

I am new here and trying to learn all of the local terminology so please excuse me if this does not help you.

LL spillway hasn't run since the rains of '07
LL Tailrace is currently @ zero cfs.
water is usually only released here to draw down to conservation pool, which LL is currently 2 feet under.
turbine generation @ the tailrace is controlled by Garland power & light. there is no schedule because it's an "on-demand" kind of thing.
