Hey guys! Our first event for the Wild Carp Club of North Texas is coming up! It'll be on Saturday, February 11 at Lakeview park on Lake Grapevine. 32.980516, -97.09646 Lakeview's a pretty large park and it holds a lot of buffalo in the 15-20lb range plus commons and the occasional mirror. http://www.wildcarpcompanies.com/wild-ca...Texas-2012.htmlAnglers will earn scores based on the weight and type of Carp caught during club sessions. Scores will accrue over the course of 8 sessions and year-end prizes will be awarded. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid Texas Freshwater Fishing License. Children under 16 are welcome to attend and fish, though their scores will not be counted toward season point totals. Also, if anyone wants to do a side pot for biggest carp/buff we're considering doing one running alongside the point totals. Anglers are welcome to arrive and depart at any time during club sessionsjust check in and out with club directors (Rick Wilson and Myself). Wild Carp Club may be competitive in nature, but it is mostly about having fun and meeting fellow anglers. Always maintain good sportsmanship and be courteous to other club members. You can show up anytime and leave anytime you feel.The hours are from 7-5.

I'd get there about 7 but there's a LOT of bankspace and all of it has pretty deep water and a channel at about 100 yards so there aren't really any bad spots there

Thanks!!!!! I hope everyone catches some fish.It will be 1 point per ounce for common carp and smallmouth buffs.And if you get a mirra then its 2 points per ounce.So hope for great weather that weekend everybody.

Again I will ask why none of these events are on Sundays. There are a fair few of us who work Saturdays. Com on WCC organize some events for those guys too.
