Hello all. Am new to this site and not too certain on the forum process. I'm a new business owner trying to break into the bass fishing market by manufacturing wood fishing lures here in NC. I sell them online at www.Poplarlures.com
Discussion 1 - The Benefits of Wood over Injected-molded Plastic Lures
A wood lure, I feel, is best suited for underwater use than an injected-molded plastic lure with inserted rattle. The reason is this: Due to water's density, low-frequency sound travels farther than higher frequency sounds. Wood lures, being solid, and without a high frequency rattle inserted, create a low frequency sound which more closely resembles baitfish sounds than do injected-molded plastic lures of present day.
