Depending how heavy the oxidation is, your best bet is to get a fiberglass detailer that works on boats.

I tried a three part kit made by Meguiar last winter that is sold on Amazon. It is a rubbing compound followed by a polish and then finished with a wax. Labor intensive and will take lots of hours, but my old skeeter sure looks better. I think it cost about $30.

very simple go to grocery store or home depot and get some CLR stuff works great. cleans it off with ease, you will be surprised. you can use full strength for very hard areas, but i usually dilute it 50-50 or so.

It will all depend on how bad the oxidation is on both fiberglass and aluminum boats. I will tell you that cleaning it off a fiberglass boat is much easier then off an aluminum boats, but they both take time and a lot of effort.
