Quality Bass Club of San Antonio has set Saturday,October 15th as the date for their eighth Fishing for Freedom event. Those of you who supported and/or participated in previous events know how much fun it is for our returning wounded warriors to enjoy a leisurely day of bass fishing on Choke Canyon Reservoir, and at the same time engage in some friendly competition among themselves for the "bragging rights" of catching the Big Fish. Wounded soldiers and their family members are bused from Brooke Amry Medical Center to Choke Canyon, where they are treated to breakfast tacos before being paired up with volunteer boaters. This is where we need your help. If you would like to take a hero, and perhaps a family member or two, out for a morning of fishing, please visit www.qualitybass.org, scroll down to Events and click on the link to sign up as a volunteer. A BBQ lunch is also served for all participants. This is a low-key, fun tournament; soldiers weigh in anything that bites, and there are plenty of prizes for our heroes and their family members. Thanks in advance to all who are able to help.

FYI: If you needs boaters, keep in mind this event is the same weekend as Fising for Freedom at Ft. Hood on Belton Lake. Seems to me these dates are conflicting and though its too late to change dates, I would suggest these dates not conflict in the future.

You do realize that Fishing for Freedom is also going on at Lake Belton that same day as well, just an fyi. They currently have 248 teams. That is a lot of boats. I will be fishing the Belton one. http://centraltexasbassanglers.com/forms/TBW/form.php

MLTX, do you all still need boaters and is there a better way to contact them than the website?
