Okay folks, I got the Corps event permit filed, Vic and Sandy at the Marina are on board...so here it is!

Bardwell Fall Catfish Tourney:

Date: October 22nd (Saturday)
Time: Sign-in is at 6:30, Meeting/Boat Check at 7:00
Lines Out: 7:30 A.M.
Lines In: 3:00 P.M.
Weigh-In: 3:30 P.M. at Marina Store
Launch at Highview Park boat ramp, meet at Marina store for sign-in and meeting.

Trailering is allowed, but you MUST be present for meeting and boat check. (Bardwell isn't a huge lake, so you can make it to all the good spots in a fairly reasonable amount of time).

$25 per team, up to 3 anglers per boat.
Payout will be 50/30/20 for top three spots.
Best 5-fish stringer to win.
Optional $5 per-man Big Fish pot.

There will be some door prizes raffled off at the weigh-in.

Standard rules apply. Any type of catfish count.
Feel free to keep any eaters you catch. Just bring your 5 biggest LIVE fish for weigh-in. DEAD FISH WILL NOT COUNT.

There will be a boat check before the tourney: Life jackets, safety equipment, live-well check. Make sure you have enough life jackets for everyone and that you have all the Coast Guard required goodies for your boat. Participants are responsible for all your own gear. If TPWD catches you without your safety stuff, it's all on you!

Highview Marina store has calibrated scales for weigh-in.

Throw your names in the hat and we'll keep a running list.

Thanks for the videos Mike!

Everyone make sure to take pics. We'll keep our fingers crossed that the weather isn't quite so "nautical" this time around....

It still has a good ramp with plenty of water left.

I think my bathtub has enough water where you won't tear up your new boat!

That's nice Kevin. Good color for ya...I especially like the flower on the side. That says that you're comfortable with your manhood....

I’ll be there to dominate this tourney! I’ll also be signing autographs for the kids after my victory! (free of charge)

To my knowledge the Highview ramp is still good. Ya’ll need to plan on using that one. The Love Park ramp is getting low and there is about a 2-3’ drop off at the end of the ramp. Someone put a pole at the end of the ramp at Love to let you know where the drop off is.

Yeah, in Salsa's video, I saw an awful lot of bank showing on the Love Park cove where I usually bankfish. Normally I have about 6 feet of open bank before the ledge, now it's 20+ feet.

It's a pretty clear boating lake. Not a lot in the way of stumps or sand bars. From the dam out is the deepest water, and the arms of the lake get shallower as you go in. There is some timber, but it's pretty well confined to the outer arms.
