The Bass Pro Shop Grapevine Series will be hosting the "2nd Annual Fish-for-Life" benefit tournament on Lake Lewisville on Saturday October 1st. This event is our "mission charity" and will be hosted at Sneaky Pete's on Lake Lewisville. We will also be having an amazing raffle immediately following the weigh-in. Tournament hours will be safe-light until 3:00pm.

Registration will be at Sneaky Pete's on Friday September 30th from 6-8pm.

We will payout 75% of all entry fees, and the remaining 25% will be donated to Cook's Children's Hospital, along with the funds raised from the tournament raffle. If you would like to donate directly to Cook's Children's Hospital, PM Scott Gordon on TFF.

Last year we raised over $5000 and we are looking to double that this year. Make plans to join us!

EVENT BACKGROUND:

In January 2009, Steve Amburn and his wife Debbie decided to organize a benefit tournament to honor the memory of their daughter, "Cara Young", after losing her one year earlier to Cystic Fibrosis. Steve and Debbie, along with Cara's father "Steve Young, spent several weeks each year with Cara at Cook's Children's Hospital as she underwent treatments for her illness.

Cara's time "under-the-weather" at Cook's was challenging but the attention she received from the hospital staff was spetacular and she was definately spoiled while she was in their care. In honor of Cara and in recognition of the tireless efforts of the staff at Cook's Children's Medical Center, we have organized this annual benefit tournament to raise much needed funds for Cook's and to assist them with their ongoin battle against Cystic Fibrosis.

I updated the tournament ohours on the original post. Hours will be safe-light until 3:00pm. Weigh-in will be at 3:00pm at Sneaky Pete's.
