What bait are recommended for freshwater fishing at mason creek? ![welcome welcome](/forums/images/graemlins/default/kgo_057.gif) I pretty much go there once a week now. What is it you're going after? You could never go wrong with live night-crawlers. Ive caught numerous sunfish, bluegill, and Rios there. Some other folks caught them on sweet corn. I often fish for bass, so I use Black/Junebug soft plastics.

A small can of sweet corn is all you need. You can see the Rios and Sunfish huddle on the banks.
Most bass there will be 1.5 lbs or less, but Ive caught a near 4 lber earlier in the year.
