I am trying to expand my gear a little and am looking to purchase my next set up. I currently have two H2O mettles on all star rods. Both rods are MH, one is 6'6" and the other is 7'0". I'm going to purchase a curado and am at a loss for what Is the best rod to put it on. Should I go with a big cranking stick, or something more neutral in the 6-6 to 7 ft range that can be used for many applications? What about the action? Is MH the best overall or should I be looking for something else?

I tend to use medium action rods for cranks and topwaters and I usually try to stay in the 6'6"-7' range myself. Imo, If your buying a nice reel, buy a nice rod. Falcon Lowriders, Abu Veritas, Verdicts, Shimano Compre and Clarus, hell even my 35$ scimitar is a nice rod for the money.

I have a E5 on a Falcon Bucoo and it is a pretty sweet combo. Sounds like you have the MH multi-use setup handled. I would be thinking of a bigger crankin rod.

If ou go that road, you will probably get a lot of recommendations for Dobyns rods. Lots of folks like them. I don't own a Dobyns (yet) but have great luck with Falcon rods and TFO.

I've been looking at the TFO's and hear a lot about the Falcon Lowriders. I will definately look at both of those as well as castaways. I purchase the majority of my stuff from academy for the warranty and will do the same with whatever rod I decide on. Thanks for the replies guys.
