All you need to know..
A little bit of advice, get an electronic scale, not the cheap thing we got..said 2 1/2lbs..we know thats not correct cause we caught another one half this size and it said 2lbs.......right! Plus i've caught a 5 1/2lber and it wasn't too much bigger than this beauty

You don't always need a boat..
But gosh darn it, sure helps!

Very nice catch, fishing can be great there off of the pier. Also, I really like that MSU T-Shirt, that's my number one team.

Which lake would you rather go to without a boat?
Lake Fork or Purtis Creek?

Purtis Creek hands down!!

Purtis creek is nothing short of awesome. It was much much better before they put the grass carp in though.

2 1/2 sounds about right. Purtis however hasn't been the same for 5-6 years now.

Just messing with you. I go to purtis 4 or 5 times a year. Great park.

Honestly when Steve & Barry's was selling all their $5 shirts 90% off I got it cause I kinda like MSU's basketball team..

Purtis is amazing, I wish I lived a little closer so I could go 2 or 3 times a week but I don't, so I only go once or twice a month..

Even in the middle of the summer, the big one's bite plastics and goldfish..I've only caught 1 bass ever outta there on anything like a crankbait, rattletrap, topwater, spinnerbait..

Love that place!

In the early early spring throw the biggest popper you can find at night. And they will usuallt hit a crankbait there, you just have to fish it really really close to the cover.
