it's not get on plane and the hull is always rise up really high. at first i thought it has to do with the tilt but it not. Motor seem like pushing the boat but it still running slow and it rise up the hull.

Its a 1992 Evinrude 60hp on a 16' stratos. Tach needs to be fixed.

Whenever the boat picks up speed and rpm it usually can plane easily. But sometimes it just feels like it cannot pick up any speed but pushes alot of water.

Is this a new problem with the boat, or is this a "new to you" boat and you really dont know if it ever ran well? Have you swapped props recently? Have you moved the engine mounting height recently?

You are trimmed all the way down when you take off, right?
How about weight distribution? Lots of weight in the rear of the boat?

Run it, then pull the spark plugs and tell us what you see. Rust? Even a tiny spot. Water droplets? Dry? Oil fouled? Wet Fuel fouled? Go ahead and swap them out with new ones while you have them out.

60 Hp seems to be the lower limit to push a 16 foot fiberglass boat, to me. I'm not sure you arent over propped and underpowered, but if it ran well last year, then obviously something has changed since then.

Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

If the tach isn't working have the rectifier/voltage regulator tested...Try cleaning the carbs and have the sync/link checked...Dump all the old fuel and start with fresh fuel.. Push choke in quickly when it acts up,if the engine picks up you have a fuel problem... Check compression before spending any money...Should have ballpark 100# on each cyl.. Any thing below 90# could be a problem... Good luck ...
