after a little research I decided to buy some polarized green tint Magellans from academy for $90. while I don't have any complaints I did happen to see some Strike King polarized shades at walmart for $15. I've taken my Magellans out a few times and they help things in the water stand out a little more but I still can't see a whole lot in the water I fish. the lakes in this area are a little murky but I'm still a little unimpressed with how deep I can see things in the water.
my question is can the cheaper Strike King glasses do about the same job? I'm new to the idea of polarized shades to sight fish so I'm really not sure how well my shades should work. I know polarized doesn't mean xray glasses but I thought I'd be able to see a bit more for $90. I went out to a shallow part of a local lake yesterday and couldnt see but a couple of feet into the water despite it being totally calm. If the cheaper shades can do the job just the same I'll exchange them and use the extra money to put toward a new reel...
