http://dfwbassmasters.com/html/youth_event.htmlWe will have our 5th Annual Kids Tournament on May 21st at Joe Pool. Free entry into the tournament plus free entry into Lynn Creek Park for the day. Bass, Crappie, and Sand Bass of legal size. Starts at 6:45 and ends at 2:00 pm and the Awards will be given out at 2:30. This is a big fish event so just bring 1 fish at a time to the scales. Trolling, Live Bait is allowed. Bank fishing is allowed. You can register on Friday night at the park or saturday morning up until 10:00 am.

There should be plenty of fish caught. Legal size for sand bass and crappie is 10". You can weigh in largemouth under 14" or over 21". If you under 13 and fishing from a boat you must wear your life jacket.

My kids are fishing the youth tournament and I want to fish the Big Bass Bonanza if kids use minnows will that cause me a problem in the Bonanza?

No problem. And I just confirmed that with the Big Bass Bonanza director. But under no circumstance do you use live bait.

It was great to see 39 kids today entered in the tournament. The winning fish at 1.30 was a sand bass. Last years winning fish was a crappie. It was pretty tough fishing today with the wind and slightly stained water. Here are the results http://www.dfwbassmasters.com/html/results_2011.html
