The 56th Annual State Tournament will be held out of Toledo Bend's Fin & Feather Resort on the weekend of April 9-10. This is an "open tournament" in which anglers in six competitive Divisions (Teams, Couples, Individual, Sr. Team, Adult/Boy and Adult/Girl) vie for trophies and recognition as "Texas State Champion". There is also a Bass Club "Top 6" competition open to all clubs within Texas.

Information, rules, and registration materials for this historic tournament are available on www.texasstatebass.com. If not already registered, you may sign up at the Fin & Feather from 4-10pm on April 8.

Both days of the event will be filmed by the Honey Hole All Outdoors Television Show for airing a few weeks after the tournament. As an added bonus, a lucky State Tournament angler will be selected to participate in the filming of a future show. Thanks to TV host Bill Wilcox and Executive Producer Randall Boyd for their generosity and support of the State Tournament.

The tournament entry fee is modest: Only $60 for the Team and Couples Divisions and $50 for the Individual, Sr. Team, Adult/Boy and Adult/Girl Divisions. There is no additional charge to also enter the Bass Club Top 6 competition. The generously stocked Strike King tackle pack, tournament cap, and Saturday post-weighin meal for all anglers are valued almost as much as the entry fee.
