Meeting last night went well,Rick provided draft and ribs from Stumpy's for all participants. Format is close to last years. register from 4:30-6:30. leave at 5:30 return at 9:00. the Saturday tourneys have gone away to allow for a 2-day blowout in mid sept. We are having perpetual plaques made for angler of the year and displayed at Lake Granbury Marina and Fun & Sun in granbury.
I talked to BRA this am and was told the golden algae is looking better. the only kills are in the lower portion of the lake and the upper portion is fine.
If you are going to be fishing with us and have an e-mail please send me your e-mail address to racefanatx2@yahoo.com
Look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, March 30!!

Surprised this is still going to happen this year. I thought most of the bass population was wiped out.

I am not trying to highjack this post but I will say this. Last year I never got blanked on Granbury and I did twice in a row this week..From march thru april last year I caught atleast 30 bass over 5lbs.I have fished hard the past month and have found only two places that are holding fish..I know there are still bass in Granbury but until it rains I really don't think they will move shallow(less than 10ft).Until Ben says he is catching fish I won't be on Granbury again..

We all know the lake is in bad shape, we are still going to try to have tournys, and see how it goes, I think price is 40$ a boat, and next wens, we will see if any are brought to weigh in....thinking positive and hoping there is , see you guys at the ramp,,good luck.

You have to put your boat in the water to follow him around - I'll be riding right in his wake....

He bank fished the rocks down at the ramp in town lol. Good job Ben. Don't know much about the bass don't fish for them but there are not many catfish biting anything anywhere on Granbury.
Was supposed to help catch some fish for the EPA people out of Granbury I could not make it but the man who did Mr. Whiskers and my Nephew fished hard all over the lake and could not and did not get a bite. This golden alge is an awsume fish killer and if you have never seen a lake with it well you have never seen thousands of dead fish of all breeds it was nasty nasty. Would not eat a fish from Granbury for a few yrs anyway.
