Looking for advice for Cypress as where to fish. Asked for advice for Bob Sandlin and the response was great and I caught fish when others didn't. I have only fished this lake one time and 0'd. I feel that I can fish OK it's just not knowing the lake. If any advice that you all can give will be put to good use as to where to go and drop few lures. Thanks to all in advance!! hmmm

Tons and tons of boat docks. No grass.

The fish should be staging soon. Find you the north facing coves and fish the docks in them. The fish will be staging on the docks to move into the backs of the coves to spawn.

That or brushpiles.

The lake has some good fish, but the better spots are usually very tight lipped. The lack of abundant structure means that the right kind of structure is often few and far between. The lake for me does pattern well though. For instance, boat docks on points, or the ones all the way in the back of the creeks, etc. usually when you figure it out, just keeping moving and looking for more of the same water. Don't get married to a whole stretch of bank if it doesn't fit the pattern.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Talked to a couple of anglers tonight at the Bass Club and found out what they were doing this past weekend. Docks in 5 to 10. Crankbait heaven!

Fished a tournament there several years ago with my father, weather was horrible. A late cold front had come in it was rainy and windy. People were tearing thier boats up to run to north end of lake. We made the attempt, turned back and fished a line of boat docks about 1/4 mile long within site of the campsite and took first place with over 20 lbs. The closest wieght to us was 13 and some change, and we didnt burn but ounces of fuel. =)
