Have any of you tried the frogg toggs fishing suits. The bibs and tops. I was going to buy one o the regular ones and saw the fishing specific ones and was just curious.

I bought my wife some and she loves them. I went cheap and bought the BPS brand. They look the same, feel the same, but about $30 cheaper. Plus the BPS brand does not have elastic down at the bottom of the legs.

you get what you pay for.
Its a nice light weight suit, but if it actually starts to rain hard, you will be wet.

The Frogg Toggs I have worked pretty good when I first got them, but within one season of wear they would get me wet. If you fish a lot I would spend the money and get something of better quality, like gor tex.

I had a regular set with regular pants and they sucked. When I got the bibs, I like them a lot. I only use them in warm weather months though. For cold weather its hard to beat BPS 100Mph Gear or Cabelas Guide Gear

They are okay if it is a light rain or mist. They are worthless in a real rain storm.
Go ahead and bite the bullet and get a BPS 100 mph suit. It will be the last suit you will ever have to buy.

Went out fishing for 8+ hours this last Saturday. Rained light to moderately hard the entire time. Had a pair of $29 Frogg Toggs on from Academy and never got wet. Kept me warm and dry easily and slipped comfortably over my regular clothes with ease.
So depends on your conditions and budget. For something simple go with Frog Toggs. If you plan on going Captain Ahab in the middle of a thunderstorm may want something like gortex or bps 100 mph suit.

They'll keep you dry unless it's a total gully washer. Nice light suit for the occasional summer shower. Like mentioned, they won't stand up to a serious downpour for too long.

My wife gave me a pair one year for Christmas. The first tourney I fished in them in January I was soaking wet withing 30 minutes. I was miserable the rest of the tourney.
