I've been trying to catch some carp on my fly rod for the past week to see if I could handle the fight. I was going to see if anyone had any ideas on what to try. I've tried just about everyhing I can think of and can never seem to get them interested. Any recommendations?

Carrots. They like carrots.

Cast to the rooters, not the cruisers.

Get that book. It's pretty hopeless until spring to get them on the fly.

Here's some info from the Great White North.

Disclaimer: I'm not associated with these guys, but I loved a video they put out on fly fishing carp on Pathfinder/ Alcova/ Seminoe on the Platte River. These guys take it seriously.
