Central Texas Catfish, North Texas Trophy Cats and South Texas Catfish invite all catfishermen and women to one of the highest profile catfish tournaments ever held in the state of Texas. The tournament will be held on Lake Belton on Jan 8th. The weigh-in will be held inside the Bell Co. Expo Center in conjunction with the Central Texas Boat Show. Our weigh-in will be just before the Tuff Man Bass Classic weigh-in. Promoters of this event say there are between 2,000 -3,000 people attending during this part of the show. Guys, everywhere I go and fish tournaments, I'm always hearing the same thing,"Man, I wish we had bigger crowds for the weigh-ins or I wish we could get some more exposure like the bass guys do." Well, here you go. Everyone who fishes tournaments loves the competition and also the recognition when you are successful. These people who put on the boat show are excited about having a catfish competition. They run their weigh-in just like the BassMasters do on T.V. This will be a great oppurtunity to give our sport the recognition and exposure that it desrves. plus it will be a lot of fun. All three of the Texas circuits are backing this 100 percent. This is going to be the 1st tournament of the season for Central Texas. North Texas and South Texas have already started. A huge Thank You to Ken and Deanna for changing the date for their Jan. tournament. Here are a few specifics for this event. This is an open tournament, anyone can fish it. If you are a member of any of the 3 organizations you do not have to pay another membership. If you're not, you can join the circuit of your choice. We will be soliciting sponsors so that we can have added money to the purse. Anyone who wishes to sponsor or knows of somone who does they can contact Jody with Central Texas, Ken with North Texas, John with South Texas or PM me on this forum or e-mail me at royewing@live .com. This will be great exposure for sponsors as well as we will have a big banner on stage with every sponsor listed. A meeting and social time will be held on Fri night the 7th, site and time to be determined. As far as rules go they will be the same as what you fish now in your particular club. It would be great to have all of you come and have some fun and get to experience a little of the big time. I know that Belton is not some of ya'lls favorite lake (Jared) but it does have some monster blues as well as flatheads in it. Will have more details as they become availiable. Yea, Johnny, they agreed to move the date on their regular tournament off of the 8th in order for everyone to participate in this one and we greatly appreciate it. North Texas will be a big part of the Belton tournament.

Wish I could, only if I'd have know a week earlier. Put a non-refundable deposit down on a hunt that weekend.

We plan on making all the NTTC Tourneys, may come to Belton, but I doubt it, I havn't talked to Tom but it sounds a little far!!!
