Tough today at Falcon for 'Go Wacky' and I. Yesterday got three hits in a row on the Lunker Punker, landed 1st, 3-8, second missed it, third was big, took me deep, came unbuttoned, then was back on as never came unbuttoned but had just outrun my reeling, then busted off w/ lure at bottom, darn. Third Lunker in two weeks to beat me. But better to have fought and lost than never to have fought!

maybe time to goto a heavier line....and tighten the drag....but that's just me...i could be wrong...again!

Since its a borrowed boat you gonna fish the Mexico side? LOL

I just got back from Amistad yeaterday. The bite is on with spinnerbiats being the best for our club. I lost 5 fish over 5 lbs. in the grass in 4 days of fishing. They were in very shallow water and duck weed. If I had it to do over I would throw the Ragetail Craw some in that duck weed on as light of weight as you can get away with. I still jigged lots of fish out of the Hydrilla, but not much of the deep stuff remains. The thinner duck weed is producing in Zoro.

Gone heavier on fluro (20 from10), but swimbait rod and line ( 25 Izor mono) and frog rod/spinner w/ 65 and 80 powerpro braid, both already on, which is needed in Cali. too.

I wish I could but have a trip, anyone considering fishing with michael should if givin the chance, I very much enjoyed my time spent fishing with him, the conversation was great and michael is a great stick to boot. I wish you all a great trip!

Here are a couple of my fish from past couple of days.

At first I could not hookup w/ a boater, this chunk came off a road that went into the lake:



Every place has a possibility to make interesting photos at, here is one I liked.






The first was a nice fish, the lure is about 7" long but I had to hold it behind me to get it in, thus looks smaller than it was.

The next was a nice spinnerbait fish, caught in same area.






Headed to Amistad this afternoon, and as I always say, with my Texas slang- "I'm gunna get 'em, I'm gunna get 'em GUUUUUD."

PS Notice my new Mattlures 'Chatterfish' swimbait on my dash too? I forgot it was there.

Cool. Well, got some more nice swimbait fish on the Punker today, and a frog fish, and a fluke fish. Pics and report in a couple of days. Headed out on some of my 18 hr drive back to the Cal./Mex. border tonight; keep me in your prayers, tons of deer around! Hate to leave 'bass heaven'.
